What can and can't I build with Jev?
Last updated: November 3, 2026
All use of TypeSafe services, including the Jev API, is governed by our Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) and the Master Customer Agreement. The AUP applies to you and to anyone you give access to, including your own end users.
What the AUP prohibits
This is a summary. The AUP itself is the governing text.
Illegal or harmful activity: infringing others' rights, creating illegal content, fraud, phishing, spam, malware, hateful or violent content, terrorism, human trafficking or exploitation, or trading illegal goods.
Weapons: designing, manufacturing, or obtaining weapons intended to cause harm or loss of life.
Child safety: any content that sexualizes or exploits minors, any form of child abuse, harassment or bullying, or products designed to drive compulsive use by minors.
Deception about AI: misleading people about whether content was generated by AI.
Disrupting the service: reverse engineering, scraping, bypassing security or safety controls, vulnerability testing without permission, or accessing other customers' data.
